The Soulfuls is an award-winning NGO and platform creating fairer access for ALL women, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.

We have built a community of 4,000+ women, mentors, leaders, and change makers, engaged 120+ mentors, and supported 300+ emerging talents through mentoring and leadership programmes.

Our role is simple:
To connect talent with the right people, opportunities, and support so women can grow, thrive, and lead.

THE REALITY

Unequal access to opportunity

Applicants with Middle Eastern-sounding names had to send 52 % more applications to receive
the same number of interview callbacks as applicants with Danish-sounding names.

A structural leadership gap

3 out of 10,000 people of non-Western origin hold a director role.
For people of Danish origin the number is 48 out of 10,000.

Women remain underrepresented in creative industries

Persistent gender inequalities remain across access, pay, recognition, and decision-making
in the creative sector which is often linked to personal contacts and active networks.

Discrimination as a lived barrier

In Denmark, 48 % of ethnic minorities who had applied for jobs said they
had experienced being rejected because of their ethnic background.
