The Soulfuls ‘Dreamers & Doers’ Mentorship

We are thrilled to launch our Dreamers and Doers program with the support of Tuborgfondet.

The Dreamers & Doers Mentorship is a free program designed to help tackle the barriers to entering the creative industry for young women of colour aged 18-30. Our program aims to give visibility, opportunity and independence via a unique 6-month initiative with 4+ hours mentorship by industry leaders.

If you are in the process of landing a creative career or level up as journalist, illustrator, editor, advertising manager, marketing manager, … this program is for you.

To get accepted into the program, you’ll need to meet these requirements:

  • Identify as an ambitious woman of colour (18 - 30 years old)

  • Be interested in pursuing a career in a creative industry, or be less than 5 years into the field (don’t have your work yet published in major media)

  • Able to make a 6-months commitment to the program & your mentor

  • Able to accept different points of view and willing to work on goals with your mentor 

  • Ready to create and contribute to the final project (November 2024)

  • Live in Denmark

  • Can attend the launch event on April 17th

Who can apply?

  • Are you a creative? Aiming to enter or make it in fashion, music, acting, and in general creative industries?

  • Do you want to work with media? from TV to glossy magazines, news papers or social media?

  • Are you looking to start your own business and embark you career as entrepreneur?

… then having a mentor is golden! Our first program was primary reserved for all young women of colour age 18 - 30. For our second program we are opening up for all young women.

Are you looking for a mentor but don’t meet the criteria for our first program? We got your back. We recommend you to still apply. We will run more mentorship programs, and will contact you when we have mentor available and a match.

What to expect?

  • Mentoring, you get 4 x one-to-one sessions with your mentor over the next 6 months

  • Access to workshops and talks (online and offline) to help you get the most of the experience and learn about paths into different careers

  • Networking opportunities and being part of a community of like minded young women and female leaders working to make a difference

Why mentoring matter?

  1. A mentor supports you set career goals and taking the steps to realise them.

  2. Expanding your network with industry professionals to find internships, and locate possible jobs.

  3. Introducing you to resources and organisations you may not be familiar with.

  4. Mapping out skills for seeking a job, interviewing for a job, and keeping a job.

  5. Mentoring is for both your personal and professional growth
